Toyota yaris. Hello Yaris owners! I am interested in a used yaris in marketplace but my dad said his Fd’s yaris ain’t good (brake system?) especially in icy / snowy weather so she sold it shortly after she bought new. I would like to seek some opinion from owners. Thank you 🙏🏻.
Hi all, I'm looking at getting a 2014 Yaris SE (manual), it seems to be in good working condition, carfax was fine, no accidents. But I have no idea if Yaris's are good in terms of long term cars, I've always heard Toyota are a good brand in terms of reliable and hard to break, but I figured I'd ask you, Mechanics of Reddit, what you think about it.
Just bought a Toyota Yaris for £900. I’ve just got this car its 55 plate and it’s in pristine condition. Done less than 30k miles, only had 1 owner, been serviced every year. The rear bumper has a little west on the coating but apart from that it’s in amazing condition. I had a Ford focus ‘style’ 08 plate before it which was loads
The Yaris is sold in North American markets, too!) The Yaris will have no trouble with Ring Road driving. I had one when I was in Iceland a few years back, and there were no issues with ground clearance on any of the roads - paved or gravel - that I drove it on. Obviously you're not going to take it up into the highland F-roads or go fording
reliability depends on the specific one you buy, you could have an abused Yaris and a well maintained fiesta, visa / versa. here is what i would say, ,have go good look on how the car has been treated. either learn about how to examine a car, take someone knowledgeable, or get the RAC /AA to do an inspection for £100. questions to ask
BMW and Toyota came together to make an awesome car. The fact that it isn't a 1000hp dragster out of the box annoys a lot of 14 year olds. It looks good af on the road imo and does it's job well of being a mid price sports car. especially in a time when that shit is basically a sin.
Hmm, very good in the fuel economy department. All up to date with maintenance. When i gas however, it seems I have to gas harder to get the power in the car. Also, the car gets stuffy really easily. I already cleaned the air filter. The car is very clean too, inside and out.
I'm going to buy a first generation Toyota Yaris with ca. 100k - 120k miles and I'm wondering whether or not I should replace the timing chain after buying in. I've googled this topic and I've found three schools of thought: A timing chain will outlive the car. You never have to replace it, but you should have it checked every 100k miles.
Toyota are good but overpriced. Open your scope a little more. You should be able to get something younger in another brand. Ie Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia You might also be able to get a kia that still has a year of warranty left. 7 year warranty on them for some time now. Also check insurance prices and some sort of service history is a must.
Thanks to its host of reliability issues, the 2009 Matrix is one of the worst Toyota Matrix years to avoid. Once again, the Matrix earned another “Beware of the Clunker” award from Car Complaints with its 2009 iteration - it also happens to be the worst model year, according to the website. The 2009 Matrix’s primary issue is engine failure.
Toyota reliability is legitimate but a bit of a circlejerk imo. People seem to forget about the entire generation of tacomas that were literally rusting in half after a few years. Personally I think that most new cars should last you a good while as long as you are doing your maintenance on time and taking care of it.
First post on this forum and need some advice, Have an old beloved 2000 Toyota Tundra. I bought it from my grandfather before he passed. The accelerator died on me on the highway. The mechanic said it was a throttle body problem. - had the same problem 2 years ago with the throttle sensor and they replaced it.

Both of these cars are around the same price (≈$9000). I was also wondering how comfortable these cars are from a tall person standpoint. The first one is a 2015 Toyota Yaris with 142,000 miles. I have heard that the newer ones are Mazdas in disguise which is why I am more wary of this. The second one is a 2009 toyota matrix with 123,000 miles.
this the hybrid from Prius2000- 2015 Aygo 2004-2023 and Yaris 2004-2023 above. The battery can drive the car for 3 miles tops, up to 30mph. It is charging automatically when breaking or coasting or when not accelerate. It charges in 2,3 miles and nothing more. 3. PHEV in all brands. Stands for Plug in hybrid.
If you sell a slow boring car, especially in America where most driving is done at highway speeds, offering a manual doesn't make people want to now buy your slow boring car. But the sales numbers say there was a bunch of manuals left on the lot so away that option goes. 883 votes, 257 comments. 5.5M subscribers in the cars community. r/Cars is
