To cancel the order, go to the My Orders section of your AliExpress personal account. Click the “Cancel Order” button next to the necessary order. You will get to the order page and will have to click the Request Order Cancellation button. Then choose the reason for cancellation. If you made an order by mistake, select the correspondingScroll down the page and select the “Open Dispute” button beside the item name. You should now see two buttons titled, “Refund Only” and “Return & Refund”. Select the “Return & Refund” button to initiate the return process. The next page will allow you to enter details regarding your dispute.
There is a new scam method encountered recently on AliExpress where seller insist that you return the defective item for a full refund and then opened a new dispute with AliExpress to claim that the item received was "more damaged" than reported earlier, even though seller agreed that the package was received in good condition with no case against the courier for damage during delivery.
You can specify the amount of the refund and other details when opening the dispute. Go to the “My Orders” section. Select the necessary order. Click “Details”. Click “Open dispute”. Make sure to specify the reason why you’d like to get a refund. Ideally, attach a screenshot of the faulty product.
As I said before, it looks like aliexpress is automatically stepping in and the seller doesn't even have the time to reply (I have no idea why this happens sometimes and the disputes seem to get resolved by aliexpress faster than others) I don't care about the refund at this point, I just want my cancelling it to be 'useful', so to speak.
But if they don't give you a new tracking number, they don't answer or if you have the slightest suspicion, don't hesitate: open a dispute and AliExpress will refund your money in full. Order cancelled automatically. As you can see at checkout, there is a maximum “processing time” for the seller to ship the product.
